Outreach Support
We have helped many families in this situation over the years. We provide assistance to people who live in their family home in order to increase their independence and reduce their reliance on their family as carers. This can strengthen family relationships by taking on the burden of caregiving and assisting the individual in developing their skills. We help people form a network of support outside of their families and participate in activities and events with their peers. We can provide support for shorter periods of time, such as a few hours per week to allow Mum to go shopping, or a day trip with the individual to allow the family some "down-time." We also provide weekly day breaks and longer time periods, such as taking individuals on short breaks to allow the family to take a break and taking over support in the family home when longer holidays are required. In all cases, we work closely with the family to develop a comprehensive plan of support that considers routines and specific needs, and in many cases, this becomes a plan that is used to provide a more regular pattern of respite support over the course of the months and year. Local governments and Clinical Commissioning Groups, which can fund our services, recognise our outreach assistance. We also work with people who are receiving Direct Payments, Individual Service Funds, or Personal Budgets.
When you would like to receive your care is up to you!
We are very flexible and work around you.
